In-Store Grooming
Proper and thorough grooming is an essential part of responsible pet care. At Pets in the City, we offer professional pet grooming by experienced stylists in our state-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned salons. Your pet is not only brushed and pampered to look good, but they are done so in a safe and secure environment. For most pets – the experience of going to a grooming salon is similar to humans going to a dentist, we try to calm their nerves and make the grooming sessions as fun as possible.
Our groomers are ‘Pet Whisperers,’ and they can actually soothe ‘the savage beast.’ Your pet, albeit the perfectly well-mannered boy/girl they are, will feel a new level of comfort in our Groomers’ hands. ‘The Tub’ designed to reflect tubs at home creates another point of comfort for your loved one as a point of home recognition. The hydraulic grooming table designed with a rubber top helps to ensure a comfortable grooming experience for your pets.
Our in-store cleaning service includes haircuts, ear cleaning, eye cleaning, nail trimming, washing, and drying. We only use premium quality products, including shampoos and conditioners, to take care of your pet. Every pet deserves to be pampered; as such, we offer our grooming services for the most cost-effective prices in the market – cost can vary depending on the breed size. For more information about our services, get in touch with our friendly team by calling 800 GROOM 47666 or 04-458-0091.
Does Grooming Vary from Pet to Pet and Breed to Breed
Each Pet has its own unique set of grooming requirements. Different tools and approaches need to be adopted based on their specific needs. How each pet reacts to a grooming technique can also vary drastically from animal to animal. Grooming techniques can also differ between the same species. For example, one cannot use the same grooming product, tools, or procedure for a golden retriever and a chihuahua. Medium to long-haired dogs needs to be brushed at least once a week while short-haired can go longer without combing. While cats tend to be more hygienic, regular grooming will help to remove dead fur and thereby reduce the risk of ingesting furballs when they groom themselves.
Grooming methods need to be tailored based on the pets’ size, fur type, claw type, and aggressiveness. At Pets in the City, we have a team of groomers who are trained and experienced in the art of pet grooming. No feline or canine is too aggressive for us! Backed by our years of experience in the industry, we’ll make sure your pet is groomed like never before.
